Aftermath : Expeditionary Force book 16

By Craig Alanson

What happens in the wake of Failure Mode?

The Aftermath of a stunning victory—especially an unexpected, complete, and final victory—should be high-fives all around, listening to politicians give boring congratulatory speeches, and a well-deserved rest for the Merry Band of Pirates. Yes, the galaxy is still a freakin’ mess, but that is nothing new, and for a change, that can be someone else’s problem.

Until, you know, something really bad happens, and only the Pirates can deal with the problem… Or not.

Expeditionary Force returns with book 16 in the series, Aftermath, from New York Times bestselling author Craig Alanson

5 more books!

Time to celebrate! Craig has found new inspiration, and has decided to make 5 more books!

I am very happy that he chose to continue his writing, with the same characters!

Mileage

Joe has seen some mileage, he is no longer the spry young fellow he once were, and the same goes for Skippy. The story starts with Joe having been placed somewhere he hopefully can do no harm to the wider galaxy with his family.

He battles with being the “boring” dad, but an opportunity arises! They can go and see a sentinel be awakened! Sound like a spledid idea? Right ??!?

And this is where the universe comes in to kick the humans in the balls!

Enemy!

A new enemy is discovered, and they must react to this new threat, or is it new?

That is what the turning point in these next books are going to be about and maybe blowing some stuff up 😀

One scene that I very much liked, is where they use the big guns to blow up a printer, because those things are the worst! Never work, and only just frustrates everybody! Even elder AI’s.

My Rating

Rating

I will give this one a 4.5 out of 5.

I am very happy that the book series continues, especially since there were some unanswered questions in the series that I hope will end up being answered in the next 5(4) books.

Read it, its definetely worth a read!
