I love making maces, they are very simple in design but they can also be very detailed, and offer challenges when building.
Simple design
This design is rather simple, but in my opinion also looks really good,
The base is simple a fibreglass core, wrapped with 3mm. foam, and then adding the 15mm pieces for the head, shaped the same and glued on.
The important thing to remember is the spacing between the head pieces.
Painting
I finished it with a simple latex paint with metallic and gold, with some dry brushing to finish it off.
The handle
The handle I wrapped with leather which is glued on and stiched, then wrapped with waxed thread, to make the shape for the handle, improving looks and grip.
