So i made a leather sheath for a larp safe dagger.
I was made from 2mm. leather, in two pieces.
I started making a template from paper, which i wrapped around the dagger to measure.
I drew on my design, which i will tool onto the leather. Though i would suggest using baking paper, when needing to tracer it onto the leather.
When tracing, some water on the water, will help tracing it onto it.
I used different leather punching tools, with the below result.
After the final details and stiching the two pieces together, we end up with a nice fitting sheath. Water can help shape the sheath, so wrap the dagger in something and soak the leather in luke warm water, press it in carefully and let it sit.
Together with another dagger, i ended up with this result.
